last week i put the dog on her leash and crossed the street to the beach to let her loose as i do every morning. For the last year or so I have been so preoccupied with so many other things or in pain that I forgot how beautiful it is where I live. I noticed the lake and the water and the small fog that comes up out of it early in the morning. The day before I had gotten some results from tests my Doctor had taken. Last year I found out I had arthritis, degenerative disc disease, and bulging discs on my lumbar and spine. It had been keeping me hostage for the last year, and the pain has left me scatter-brained and living day to day. I hate that. I kept complaining and wondering why is this? I'm not even over 40. This is not normal. The results were that the reason my spine has all those problems is that i have Scoliosis and I have probably had it for a long time and I was never treated for it.

First I sank in my chair, then I sat right back up. I m not crazy then? I asked the Doctor. All this time I kept saying it hurts to stand, sit, walk...live. I got eye rolls or it will go away. The pain is real. Ive been going to therapy and adjustments for the past three weeks, and I'm feeling much more energy. My neck does not feel like its crushing my spine, and I feel like I can breathe better, walk and stand a bit more. I cant wait until I can exercise again. I have gotten a bit...fat. Ive been working on some new dolls and toys for my Etsy shop. They should be up on Sunday. I'm so happy knowing that i have something that of course can't be cured, but can be tweaked a bit so I can live and walk a bit better with out pain.

When I saw this tower that some Artist makes once in a while on the beach. I felt alive again. I feel hope, like i can get back to work again.

Ok, hi! I know its been a while. Many things have happened since my last blog post and it seems like I never did show off those pillows. If it makes you happy I did sell them and will be making more. During that time I was having horrible back pain. My Doctor sent me for an MRI. Two days later I was told I has Degenerative Disc Disease and Arthritis in my shoulders, spine, and lumbar. Bummer. And by the way you have a tumor. One tumor turned into three. I had an emergency Myomectomy where they found ten and took out six giant tumors (three were giant the others not so bad). So here I am. Some days are good and some days i feel like the Tin Man in need of oil. So many other things have happened. Good things, that i will try to share before the end of the year. I was going to post a pic of the tumors but I thought it would gross everyone out.

I can't believe it the month is almost gone! Since my last post Ive had a birthday, been busy at work, did big time spring cleaning and have made pillow out of vintage fabric for my etsy shop. I will list them soon. I like them alot.

Chata helped with the cleaning. Thats why she's so tired.

Living room is done now time to clean the kitchen/studio area. You can sort of see the mess through the doorway.

Easter/Spring NaturalKids Team Blog-A-Thon

The NaturalKids Team was started by woodmouse in 2007. Early members included faerierebecca, fairiesnest, cozycottage. It was a small group, with a small presence on etsy. Since that time members have come and gone but our mission has stayed the same. To be a group of sellers dedicated to creating natural products for children. We are a diverse group of artisans who make natural toys, utensils, clothing and accessories for kids. Our sellers work with materials from the Earth, such as wool, cotton, silk and wood. Our goal is to support, promote and have fun together while building our businesses.

One of our 1st Team Blog Post read as below and it is still true today....

We are a diverse bunch from all over the globe who have at least one thing in common: we all work with natural materials in our products for children. Oh yeah, and we're all pretty darn crafty & talented too! Wool, wood, cotton...just simple materials direct from the Earth.

So who are we?

Some of us are mothers of small children.

Some of us are mothers of grown children.

Some of us make dolls, some of us make hats, some of us make toys.

Some of us have been selling our wares for many years.

Some of us are just starting to discover our talents and start selling.

What a wonderful surprise it was when I checked my email at luch today. After 2 hours of sitting at a meeting with a toy rep at work ( I work at a toy store, and yes its fun, but yes there is boring stuff to when you have to look through pages of junk to find the good stuff), it was great to see this blog post over at Conservitory Girl. So sweet. You should check out her shop as well, great stuff.

Just finished adding some new dolls, stringing beads and other fun things in my Etsy store. Take a peak.

This is Ramona. My new design. I named her after my abuelita

(grandmother) or as I called her "welita". I will start making her in different colors and dresses. I have 4 in the store. Im also sending some to Handmade Galleries in Sherman Oaks CA. They should be there next week.

He is so cute! If you click your mouse it will feed him pellets and if you click the middle of the wheel he will start spinning on it. Don't over feed him though!

Ok, so I set up this new Blog to start using right at the start of the new year. Yeah right. It was not pretty. One disaster after another 2 trips to the doctor and 1 very large car repair bill later here I am.

Good news is that I did manage to make it to the LA Gift Show in January to be part of the Handmade Galleries Booth. I took a couple orders, made some new friends, spent time with my mom and my brother Noel (my other brother Edy was busy filming the news), and caught up with friends I havent seen in a while.

I worked on some new designs for the show and they did well, people seemed to like it, so that felt good. i really like the new Brownie Doll and I think I will make it in a smaller size as well.

I think she's cute.

She is my shop now along with some new things i just loaded up. I added some fun stuff and some vintage finds. Go Look! Just go to the shop button and see if there is anything you like.

I'll be loading up my Etsy shop today soon, maybe.
